■What is Aoki Rock?

It is an unconventional foot lock with the heel outside the hold. It forced Tatsuya Kawajiri to tap out in 2010, and was later popularized by top jiu-jitsu practitioners such as Mikey Musumeshi and Lachlan Giles, leading to the name "Aoki Lock" being established and still used today.

"Aoki Lock" is used not only as a name for a submission technique, but also as a name for a position. In this tutorial, Aoki himself will explain the concept, entry, and submission techniques.
